Sweet rustic vase, handformed. With wildflower pattern
this is made from earthenware clay and low fired to save energy. Instead of being wrapped around a mould and trimmed, handformed pottery has raw edged and is curved into shape to make a gentler circle thats different every time,making them more tactile allowing for more movement in the glaze. I decorate my pottery with hand carved linocuts or hand stamped text, then highlight these with black underglaze then apply glazes to make them waterproof dishwasher proof and even suitable for the microwave.
