this is made from stoneware clay and low fired to save energy. Instead of being wrapped around a mould and trimmed, handformed pottery has raw/wavy edged and curved into shape to make a gentler circle thats different every time,making them more tactile allowing for more movement in the glaze. I decorate my pottery with hand carved linocuts/ stamps or hand stamped text, then highlight these with black underglaze then apply glazes to make them waterproof dishwasher proof and even suitable for the microwave.
