stoneware clay is strong and light, Instead of being wrapped around a mould and trimmed, handformed pottery has raw edged and curved into shape to make a gentler circle thats different every time,making them more tactile allowing for more movement in the glaze. I decorate my pottery with hand carved linocuts or hand stamped text, then highlight these with black underglaze then apply glazes to make them waterproof dishwasher proof and even suitable for the microwave.
